Muslim Professional Society was founded to empower Muslim students at UT Austin through professional development, mentorship, and community. While the organization had established a growing presence among students, it lacked a cohesive identity that reflected its ambitions.
As MPS expanded across multiple professional branches, the opportunity emerged to create a visual system that represented the organization not simply as a student group, but as a professional institution built around excellence, (ihsan).
Rather than relying on familiar visual references often associated with Muslim organizations, the identity explored a contemporary institutional language.
Drawing inspiration from spaces associated with trust and permanence, the system uses a deep blue foundation, restrained typography, and carefully curated imagery to communicate professionalism while maintaining warmth and openness.
The logo was constructed from modular geometric forms, creating a flexible mark that reflects the collective nature of MPS. Individual components come together to form a unified system, representing students from diverse disciplines building toward a shared purpose.
The resulting identity established a foundation for MPS across digital platforms, events, recruitment materials, and organizational communications, helping transform a growing student initiative into a recognizable professional community.
